This innovative aircraft joined the Virgin fleet in October 2014, the 787s (and A330s) represent a huge leap for both us as an airline and our whole industry in improving our carbon footprint.

The A340-600 entered into service with Virgin Atlantic as their launch customer in July 2002. The 600 series is 75.3 metres making it the longest civil aircraft produced.

Airbus A330-300

The A330-300 joined the Virgin fleet in April 2011.  This aircraft is the largest member of the twin engine A330 family and has a wingspan of 60.3 metres, with an overall length of 63.69 metres.

Boeing 747-400

The B747-400 aircraft consumes up to 13% less fuel than previous versions and engine noise levels are half that of the original 747's in the 1970's.

The B777-300 aircraft makes better use of fuel, meaning lower emissions thanks to a new wing, more efficient engines and a lighter structure.
